Westephaly "West the Kid" Charles, affectionately known as West the Kid, was born on March 1, 2012, in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, to Kesly Charles and Floricieuse Denositin. From the very beginning, Westephaly's vibrant spirit and infectious energy left an indelible mark on those around him.
He began his educational journey at Rolling Hills Elementary, where he attended from Kindergarten through 5th grade, spanning the years 2017 to 2024. Throughout his time at Rolling Hills, Westephaly was known for his warm personality and unwavering kindness.
Whenever he entered a room, Westephaly would greet everyone with a smile and a desire for connection, always eager to share a hug or lend a helping hand. His favorite color, red, was a reflection of his bold and passionate nature, evident in everything he did.
One distinctive trait of Westephaly was his love for wearing sunglasses. It wasn't uncommon to see him with up to three pairs perched on his head, each adding to his unique style. One memorable anecdote tells of how he proudly wore an award he had earned at PE to his science test, cherishing the recognition he had received.
Beyond his playful demeanor, Westephaly had a generous heart. He was always quick to share his snacks with classmates and offer support to those in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and compassion.
Tragically, Westephaly's time with us was cut short, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of love and friendship. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, forever remembered as West the Kid, a bright light in our lives.
