Alwilda Amelia Sargeant

Alwilda Sargeant was born in Antigua on September 29, 1932. She was a mom of 4, three sons and one baby girl. She was a hard-working woman who never saw an obstacle that she was insurmountable. She was a joy to be around, but she was also a no-nonsense person. You knew exactly where you stood when you were around her, which was usually in a place of love. She was never one to let anyone go hungry, she always liked to see people eat. If she could share her last little bit with you it was given with no expectation of reciprocation.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Samuel Elijah, and her two sons Eustace and Robert. Her brothers and sisters Oscar, David, Artneil, Viola and Veneita also preceded her in death. 

Alwilda is survived by two children: Laurie and Trevor; her stepchildren: Jean, Sylvia, Osee, Lucitta, Kenrick, Lestraud and James; her grandchildren: Sheena, Thea, Michelle, Kyrie, Brandon, Lewis, Laverne, Latoya, Iaon, Tiomi, Taylor, Taymon, Keeshon, and Matthew; nieces and nephews: Cecile, Idona, Edris, Kathleen, Rosemarie, Kingsley, Joycelyn, Sylvanie, Heather, Gaithworth, Laurette and Marilyn; Special friend: Marie Henry. There are many others too numerous to mention but not forgotten.

Alwilda retired from the Department of Human Services in the Virgin Islands where she was an Administrative Assistant. She was also well loved by her co-workers and her passing has left a hole in their circle which cannot be filled by anyone else. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
