Carren Fahie

We are here to celebrate the life and legacy of Carren Fahie.  Carren Fahie is the daughter of Francena Rawlins and father, Clement Glaston Fahie.  Carren is survived by her mother, Francena Rawlins and father, Clement Glaston Fahie. Caren Fahie was born on the beautiful island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands.  Carren became a United States citizen in1993 and relocated to St.Thomas, Virgin Islands at a very young age.

Carren was a warm, loving, kind, patient, humble and devoted, woman of God.  She had great wisdom, courage and strength.  She was a devoted mother, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She will be remembered for her humble, loving, kind, patient, laid back attitude, easy going spirit, meticulous and hardworking nature, who impacted everyone’s lives that she encountered.  Her work here on earth is done. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her church family, Mission of Hope Worship Center.

While living in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Carren received her early education at Tutu Elementary School and graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School in 1977.   After graduation, Carren worked as a door to door insurance saleswoman and at Nadir Superette Convenience store.  Carren was a devoted member of the New Testament Church of God in Savan, St. Thomas, United States, Virgin Islands and a member of the Young Ladies Auxiliary and the Joy Bells Ministry. Carren relocated to Orlando, Florida, in 2000 for better opportunities for her three children, Keyon Badeau (deceased), Kyran Badeau and Kyla Grant.  She worked at Burger King Restaurant and 7-Eleven stores as a team leader.  While living in Orlando, Florida, Carren worshipped at Mission of Hope Worship Center.  Carren was loved by all, especially the youths of the church.  She was part of the New Revelation Ministry and the leader of the Mission of Hope Praise Dancers, Sons of Zion and the Melody Praise Dancers.

Under Carren’s leadership of the Mission of Hope Praise Dancers, the girls won many accolades and competitions.  The Mission of Hope Praise Dancers competed against 100 other churches under Carren’s leadership.  The winning titles led the Mission of Hope Praise Dancers and Sons of Zions to travel to Texas, Indianapolis, and Tennessee on two separate occasion.  To make those trips possible for all the kids to travel without it being a financial hardship on their parents, every Sunday, Sister Carren and Sister Rawlins fried Johnny Cake and fried chicken and sold it after church to Mission of Hope members.  Thank you to all of Mission of Hope families for helping in those endeavors.

Lastly, Carren had a passion for reading and studying God’s words.  She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.  She was dedicated to Mission of Hope Worship Center one hundred and fifty percent.  Her soft spoken and laid back nature often confused many.  Her confidence, quiet strength and determination easily gained respect from everyone she met.  On Friday, September 27, 2024, at 0414, our ray of sunshine was darkened by the passing of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.  Carren showed great faith, strength and courage until she breathed her very last breath.  Carren will be greatly missed by many.  God has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.  Be strong and courageous.  Let us hold fast to the memories of our beloved Carren and may we be comforted with every moment spent with her.  The Bible says, “Blessed are those who mo urn, for they will be comforted.”  Matthew 5:4.

Carren is survived by her sons, Keyon Badeau (deceased) and Kyran Badeau, and daughter, Kyla Grant.  Carren is also survived by her bonus sons, Kent Hodge, Jr., and Kevern Rawlins; daughters, Krystal Marie Hodge, Keleisha Blue, and Kedeidra Rawlins. and also her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
