Cathia Codio

Cathia Codio was born on January,11th 1968 to Leonie St. Till and Gerard DuChaine in Gonaives, Haiti. She left Haiti in hopes of a better life in 1988 at the age of 20. She lived in Coral Springs, Fl from 1988 to 2000 and it was there that she met her husband, Pierre Thelemaque, and they eventually moved to Orlando. She got her education in Nursing, obtaining her CNA license in 2005 and worked for HCR Manor Care from 2005-2018.

Cathia was a God-Fearing woman, always involved in her family’s life and always volunteering her gifts and talents to her church. She was a loving wife to her husband, a great mother to her 4 children and supporting grandmother to her 5 grandchildren. Whether she was singing in the choir, praying for the sick, cooking for events, and if you were blessed to have her cooking, you knew it was good.

Cathia was truly a Proverbs 31 woman, a woman of strength, of dignity, of virtue, of love and she always spoke wisdom. She loved to laugh, quoting Madea lines, and lighting up a room with her smile and she will be remembered for her kind and selfless heart along with the joy she shared with everyone she encountered.

On January 10th, a day before her 52nd birthday, Cathia’s life was cut short and the Lord called her Home to celebrate with Him in Heaven. Cathia Codio leaves behind to celebrate her life:
