May 30th, 1969 was a day like no other. The Nordelus family was gifted with an energetic bundle of joy in the person of Clifford Nordelus. Clifford was born on the beautiful island of Nassau Bahamas to the proud parents of Antonio and Amarant Nordelus.
Clifford obtained his early and secondary education at Stapledon School for the mentally disabled. As a young adult he worked at various Supermarkets before migrating with his parents to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “Pastor Cliff” as he was often called back home, loved the Lord. He loved every and anything pertaining to the work of God. He loved to praise the Lord“Beni Soir L’eternel!” Give him the opportunity and he would preach, sing, dance and even beat the drums!
Clifford no doubt was a gift to humanity. He touched so many lives with his warm and infectious personality. You never came into contact with him and remained the same. He always looked for an opportunity to start a conversation. Whether it meant him asking about your shoes, necktie etc... “Where you got it from?” “How much you paid for it or better yet buy me one!”
If Clifford had no other purpose he served his purpose as being medicine for the soul. I don't know how he did it but he had a never ending supply of joy and laughter. So much that no matter how your day was going he always said or did something to cause you to smile or laugh. Clifford had one weakness however and that was his stomach! He had no shame when it was food time. Whenever the food took too long to cook he would say “food” and just in case you didn't get the message he would bring his bowl and he would cry until the food was ready!
Family and friends we all thank God for allowing us the opportunity to have been partakers of such wonderful gift.
Fond and lasting memories will forever be in the hearts of:
