Corvington Jean Batiste was born in Cap-Haitien on July 2, 1943. Corvington did his primary education with the Brothers of Christian Instruction in Cap-Haitien and his secondary studies at the Lycée National Philippe Guerrier. After his studies, he worked as an accountant for entrepreneur Raoul August in Cap Haitien. He was married to his first wife Rose Marie who unfortunately preceded him in death. They conceived only one daughter named Guerda Daniel. He was the 3rd son followed by his brothers Claude and Jocelin and his little sister Mimose. In 1979, he left his country for Miami, Florida. He worked very hard to earn daily bread for himself and his family. After the death of his first wife, he married Regina, a woman of courage. She spent her whole life to take care of her husband. Covington was an ambassador; the door of his home was always wide open for his parents and friends, especially for those who came from Haiti for the first time.
He died on October 23, 2023 at age 80 at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami. Corving was in transit, now he's gone to another world. We must continue to pray for him once again. May the journey be light to him as everyone would have missed Covington.
