Daniel was born on March 15, 1964 in the border city of Belladere, Haiti. He was born to Edner Edouard and Anne Leonia Jean-Pierre, who have both passed away. He completed his secondary schooling at Lycée Alexandre Petion, one of Haiti’s oldest high schools. He then obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work from the State University of Haiti (Université d’État d’Haïti).
Daniel began his career practicing social work, while also doing work as a Haitian social justice activist. Daniel was born and raised in the Seventh-day Adventist church, and was an active Lay Ministries evangelist at the Eglise Adventiste du 7e Jour Auditorium de la Bible in Port-au-Prince Haiti.
After the death of his mother, Daniel moved to the United States in 1991, first living in St.Petersburg, Florida. He then moved to Roselle, New Jersey, where he reconnected with his adolescent friend Mona Stiven. After moving back to Florida, Daniel and Mona got married and grew their new family. While in Orlando, he studied at Seminole State College where he earned a certificate in Electronics.
Daniel served the Central Florida community in transportation for over 20 years. He planned to retire in a few years to focus on traveling with his wife. Some of Daniel’s passions included working on cars, playing soccer and going out to eat.
Daniel unfortunately passed away in Volusia County, Florida on September 21, 2022. He is survived by: his wife, Mona
Edouard; his son, Winsley Edouard; his daughter Jennifer Pierre-lys; his brother Pierson Edouard; his sisters Sonia and Ludnie Edouard; his nephews Samuel Hilance and Alex Edouard; and his niece Latiana Pool. Daniel is also survived by a very loving set of in-laws who treated him like a blood-relative.
