David Cadius Deus

David Cadius Deus was born on October 25 1955, in Oboy (Borgne) Haiti to Resilia Diogene and Cadius Deus, God bestowed a blessing in the form of the wonderful man, David Cadeus Deus. He was one of 10 children. From the time he was young, David was a kind and gentle man. He would go on to marry his wife, the love of his life, Eliane Desir, on December 24th 1988. He emigrated from Haiti to US.  During their 35 year marriage, they welcomed 8 children to the world.

A man fortified by his faith in God, David attended Haitian Baptist Church of the Living God, where he was a devoted member of  Ma Banier and Missioner. Throughout the week, you could always hear him singing his hymns and reading his scriptures. He was an avid church goer who could be seen supporting any church event. He loved to help his church and those within the church who needed help. He worked laboriously to ensure that his family was always provided for.

David was calm and quiet, but his presence could always be felt in the room, for it was grounding and comforting. He enjoyed watching movies with his wife and children; He would sit in the living room with his children often watching Family Feud and convinced that one day, his family could be on there as well. He was a generous, kind soul always willing to help anyone in need. No favor was too big or small for him.

On August 28, 2023, this beloved husband and father ascended to heaven. He is survived by his wife, Eliane Desir; their children Edlien, Philip, Sabrina, Ruth, Maslaine, Leyah, and Eunice Deus. He is also survived by his daughter shoodlyne Deus and grandson aiden. He is predeceased by his parents, Resilia Diogene and Cadius Deus, his son Malachie Deus, and siblings Antoinette Cherfils, Rene and Frederick Deus.

David Cadius Deus was a great man, husband, and father and will forever be remembered and missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
