Davila St. Louis was born on May 4, 1938 in Jean Denis, Haiti to the parentage of the late Saint-Jean St. Louis and LaGrace Jean. While in Haiti, Davila worked as a farmer before coming to the United States in 1973.
Davila's family was his primary motivation and focus in life. When he left Haiti, he did so with the intention of providing a better life for his wife and 3 young children. Once in America, he worked tirelessly and relentlessly in order to ensure that his family would be with him and well provided for.
Davila spent most of his years in America, residing in the state of New York. He was employed as a skilled machinist before retiring in 2003. Davila and his wife relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2004. Despite being retired, he quickly realized that the sedentary lifestyle wasn't for him. He obtained a license and began working as a security guard with the convention centers in Orlando.
Davila was a kind, peaceful, giving, caring and gentle man. He loved the LORD and was a faith-filled and avid church attendant. He was an amazing and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all. He had a welcoming spirit and always embraced others.
Davila was a strong, quiet, and humble man. He never tried to impose or be the cause of another person's distress. During his illness, he maintained his strong spirit and positive attitude. Despite being in the hospital, kind words, meaningful advice, and phrases of encouragement flowed from his mouth.
On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, Davila St. Louis was called Home to be with the LORD.
Sharing the wonderful memories of his life are:
His Wife of 52 years: Rosaire
His Daughters: Marjorie and Peggy
His Son: Nelson
His Grandchildren: Averanda and Reginald and a host of other family members and friends affected by this loss.
May His Soul Rest In Peace!
