Dell Destin

Born into a loving family of five, our beloved brother was the youngest of us. But he was not just an ordinary man; he was a beacon of strength and resilience, a dedicated father and businessman.

His journey began in the small town of Mare-Rouge, Northwest of Haiti. This is where he spent his childhood filled with joy, laughter, and countless memories. He attended primary school at St. John Bosco de Surprendre in Mare-Rouge. He moved to the U.S. in the late 2000s and made Naples, FL his permanent residence. He was a 2010 graduate of Naples High School. He was engaged to Deline and had three beautiful children; whom he loved and cherished above all else.

His passion for the open road led him to a career as a truck driver. He wasn’t just a truck driver; he was a guardian of the highways, delivering goods across the country, come rain or shine. His dedication to his work was unparalleled, and he took pride in his responsibility, understanding that his role was a vital cog in the wheel of our economy. He was known for his kindness and his ever-present smile, even in the face of adversity. His colleagues admired him for his work ethic and his unwavering commitment to safety. He mentored many, sharing his knowledge and experience with those new to the road.

Outside of his work, he had a zest for life that was truly infectious. He was an avid motorcyclist, cherishing the freedom and thrill that came with every ride. His love for the open road extended beyond his profession and into his personal life, symbolizing his love for adventure and exploration.

He was also a die-hard fan of the Miami Heat and the Miami Dolphins. His loyalty and passion for these teams were unmatched. He would often be found cheering them on, whether from the comfort of his living room or the stadium stands, his spirit unwavering regardless of the score.

On July 23, 2024, he breathed his last breath at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. His departure has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts. But we take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilling life, touching the lives of many with his kindness and leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and passion.
