Elizema Elizee

Mrs. Elizema Elizee was born on March 15, 1927 to the parentage of Mr. Noël Elizee and Ms. Tercia Terbeau from Chevreau, Grande Saline, Haiti. Her parents had 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls. She grew up in a family of farmers. Her father was a well-known delegate in the town. In her early 20’s, she met and married Alhoneur Paul in church and they had 5 children. One of Elizema’s favorite brothers was a minister who often encouraged her to convert to Christianity. There was a time when she became very ill. She asked her brother to pray over her and she accepted Christ into her heart. She later became a significant part of the local Christian community, often welcoming missionaries into her home and feeding them. Serving as a missionary, leading services, preaching and interceding on others' behalf was her greatest passion. Elizema raised all her children in the Christian faith. One day, she heard a voice say to her that her first born, Melanie, would move to the United States. After her daughter moved in 1983, she helped secure a green card that allowed her to enter the United States in 1997. There, she spent her time in prayer and worship and helping to raise her grandchildren. Elizema visited Haiti for a few months every now and then. During her last visit to Haiti, she told one of her friends that this would be the last time they see each other. She said her final goodbyes and returned to the United States. She lived out her last few years battling cancer and managing with the effects of a stroke. Her last words were a song from the Haitian Hymnal, Chants D'esperance (8 and 81 Kreyol), followed by a prayer. On November 25, 2017, Mrs. Elizema Elizee was called Home to be with the Lord. Her husband preceded her death in death in 1999 and her daughter, Annie Rose, who passed away at a young age. She leaves to cherish her memories families in the United States, Canada, and Haiti: Her Children: Melanie Coreus (née Paul), Elcina Paul, Muramene Romeus (née Paul) & Nicolas Dorrielan Her Grandchildren: Lonaise Charles, Illiona Okereke (née Coreus), Joey Coreus, Marie Jenny Charles, Nathaniel Romeus, Marvens Romeus, Samuel Paul & Christian Paul Relativies: Andreus Dosmann Dorrielan, Fenelis Dorrielan, Mrs Toussaint Osias, Mrs Bazlé and a host of friends and family who have been affected by this lost. May Her Soul Rest In Peace!
