Francelle Lucius

Francelle Lucius was born Francelle Mondesir onDecember 15, 1961 in Gonaives, Haiti. She was the oldest of seven children of Claricia Saintil and Dieuseul Mondesir. She grew up in Gros-Morne where she completed her primary education at Presbyterale de Pendu and attended high school at College Jean XXIII. She was known as one of the most brilliant pupils of her class; always in the top percentage of her class. Later, as a teenager, she moved to Port-au-Prince and continued her education at Juvenat College Sacré-Coeur. She graduated from Université Adventiste de Diquini with a degree in bilingual French-English secretariat.

At twenty-two years of age, she worked in the Northwest region of Haiti as a teacher. There, she met a handsome young man named Ramses Lucius and fell in love. The young lovers became inseparable. Theyjoined in Holy Matrimony and their union was blessed with four children: Francesse, Ramses Jr., Rimsky, and Frantz. In 2003, the family moved from Haiti to the United States, where they settled in Plantation, Florida. Forever a high-achiever, Francelle immediately enrolled in school. She encouraged her children and those around her to be hardworking and to excel in life. She was known as a gracious, generous, smart, and caring woman. She was truly regal.

On Monday June 10, 2019, Francelle Lucius was called to be with the Lord. She was the driving force for her family and she will be truly missed. She exuded love in her lifetime and her legacy will carry on.
