Fransco Cineas was born on September 30, 1972, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Thomazeau, where he was the beloved son of Phanese and Vesta Cineas. At the young age of 17, his mother passed away. Fransco grew up with his father and two sisters, Esperanta and Aniota, forming a close bond as they supported each other through life’s challenges and learned the importance of family, resilience, and loyalty.
As a baby, everyone loved holding Fransco for his lovely nature. He grew up quickly and became tall, with his “big bones” giving him a strong presence. In his early years, Fransco attended primary school in Dulmiso and later attended high school at Bon Berger Belonton and Foyer Du Savoir Rue Macajoux. For college, he enrolled in English classes at the Laboratoire DesLangues Modernes on Rue Pavé.
On April 16, 2005, Fransco married Edithe Dorelus, beginning a loving partnership that would last nearly two decades. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and warmth. Fransco was a devoted husband and proud father to their two children, Daniel and Chelsea Cineas, showing boundless patience, a steady hand, and an open heart.
Fransco migrated to the United States in 2007, initially living with his sister Aniota Brutus for two years before moving to Virginia in 2009. There, he worked at Perdue Production to support his family in Haiti. He also became a member of Beracca Church, where he faithfully served the Lord. On August 8, 2023, his family reunited with him in the U.S. Sadly, they were together for less than a month before he fell ill.
On September 3, 2023, while driving to church with his wife and children, Fransco fell ill in the church parking lot, beginning a 14-month battle with illness. He passed away on October 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. Fransco’s memory remains a source of strength and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Known for his compassionate heart and gentle nature, Franscoleft a lasting impression on everyone he met. His willingness to help those in need made him a beloved figure in the community, and he positively impacted everyone who worked alongside him.
Fransco is survived by his wife, Edithe, and their children, Daniel and Chelsea Cineas; his two sisters, Esperanta Cineasand Aniota Brutus, along with her husband, Chrisner Brutus; and his brother, Mercidieu Cineas, and his children: Jonise, Gigi, and Sherlanda Cineas. He was predeceased by his brother Jean Robert (deceased in 1990). Fransco was also deeply loved by his nieces and nephew: Nolitha Monestime, with her husband James Monestime and their children Gabriella, Miliana, Giovanni, and Azen Monestime; Judelande Machoule, with her husband Wendel Machoule and their children Andre, Christian, and Zion Machoule; as well as Wisnie, Guynsly, and Olguine Brutus.
