Heribert Hurestil was born on October 29th, 1975 in Port-de-Paix, Haiti to his father Cirenord Irestil and his mother Melanie Joseph Irestil. From a young age, Heribert was raised with strong Christian values, instilled by his parents. He grew up in a household that emphasized faith, hard work, and the importance of family, traits that would shape him throughout his life.
Heribert met his wife, Emonie, at a young age through their shared devotion at church, where they both sang in the choir. Their connection was immediate, and from that moment on, they were inseparable. In 2001, they were married, vowing to build a life together rooted in love, faith, and family. They were blessed with two children and three adopted children, whom Heribert raised with the same values of faith, hard work, and kindness that he carried throughout his life. In 2003, seeking better opportunities for his family, Heribert journeyed to the Bahamas for work. Through years of sacrifice and perseverance, he paved the way for his loved ones to join him. Eventually, they reunited in America, where they remained steadfast in their love and faith.
Heribert served as a dedicated deacon at his church, and through his role, he continued to nurture his faith and support his community. As a father, he raised his children in the ways of the Lord, teaching them love, service, and trust in Him always. Heribert had his own way of showing love—through hard work, quiet gestures, and simply being present.
Heribert Hurestil is survived by his loving wife, Emonie Joseph Hurestil, and his children, Bendjino Hurestil and Leandjina Hurestil. He is also survived by his adopted children: Marcelin Hurestil, Sandina Hurestil, and Yolvada Hurestil, along with his brothers: Persoir Iristile, Anorle Irestil, and Manasee Irestil; his sisters: Cirelia Petithomme, Meralia Irestil, Rosemarie Irestil, and Simorne Irestil; his brother-in-law, Kervins Joseph; and his nieces and nephews: Renel Petithomme, Sonya Petithomme, Beniques Petithomme, Shayane Iristile, and Darren Iristile. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will cherish his memory forever.
