A day to be born, a lifetime to live, and eventually a moment to die. Igenie Duveillaume Acceus, affectionately known as Anite, entered this world on February 10th, 1959, in La Gonâve, Gros-Mangles, Haiti. She was the eldest daughter of the late Merité Duveillaume And the late Mariane Louis. Her educational journey began in Lagonave, Gros-Mangles, and later led her to the Center of Haute Couture Chez Titine in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where she obtained a degree in Haute Couture. In 1986, she emigrated to the United States. Several years later, Igenie and her eldest daughter Naromi crossed paths with Paul Accues, who later became her husband and a father figure to Naromi. Together Anite and Paul were blessed with three more children: Simpson, Rutkosky, and Beverly.
In 2021, she began to experience declining health. After bravely enduring three years of illness, on May 8th, 2024, at approximately 4 A.M., she peacefully departed from this world. She passed away in her private residence in Orlando, Florida, answering the call of the divine. Rooted in a vast familiar network, Anite was cherished by her siblings: Danielle, Enaise, Ednor, Hugue, Rosey, Ruth, Edna, Widson, Hidson, Ronald, Francine, Roselene, Sonet, and Ester. Among them, Jesper, Ornant, Eden, Nathalie, Gedzaire, and Sonia have preceded her in death.
