Janeeka Marie Payne

JANEEKA MARIE PAYNE (NENE) was born on May 20th, 1991, in Miami, Florida to Lydia and Amos Payne. She was the youngest of six children. Janeeka leaves behind two brothers Saeed Payne, and Kareem Payne, and three sisters Tawanda Payne (Bailey), Letisha Payne (Lewis), and Dikeya Payne.Grandmother Jean Howard, Auntie Barbara Howard, Monica Howard (Deceased), Florena Emmanuel, Vancina Alvarez, Bassilia Freeman, Osafer Legair and Uncles Leon Howard, Bomba Howard, Leslie Howard Jr, Gego Payne, Eladio Payne, Vincent Payne, Kensey Payne, and Leonard Payne. Janeekagraduated from Miami Carol City Senior High School in June 2009.

Later, in life, Janeeka moved to Tallahassee Florida where she lived for over four years to obtain several degrees. Janeeka went on to graduate in 05/2014 from Florida A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Then she went on to obtain her master’s degree in 12/2015 from Florida State University in social work. Janeeka then relocated to Daytona Beach, Florida,and obtained her Clinical License in social work. Janeeka went on to continue various successful careers as a social worker in a prison and Advent Health Hospital.

While Janeeka (NENE) was enjoying her life doing things she loved, she met a young man named David Richardson in the year of 2018. For 5 years until her death, they had a caring and loving relationship and will always be bonded.

The scripture says, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. As the family calls her, our beloved NENE lived her best life. On Monday, May 29, 2023, at 32 years old, she departed from her earthly home to her heavenly home. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Janeeka leaves so many loving memories with her family and friends. One loving memory she shared solely with her mother was when she read to her a children’s book and wanted to publish it. We could count on one hand her best friend SharnieceKnight. Closest Cousins Natasha Howard and DashaunaJohannes. Janeeka’s Favorite genre of music was Reggie and her favorite artist was Beres Hammond and Romain Virgo. Janeeka had a love for writing, crafting, eating healthy, and living a natural lifestyle.
