Jean Laures Lubin was born on December 25, 1960 in La Baie Des Moustique, Haiti to the late Matelia Jeanbaptiste and Larochel Lubin.
In 1978, Jean Laures decided to migrate to Nassau Bahamas where he lived for almost two (2) years. After going through a hard time alone in the Bahamas he wanted to be closer to his sister Annemarie; who he gave a nickname (Ela). He relocated to Miami, Florida and this is where he met his first love Marie Brun. She gave birth to his daughter Lavoude Lubin Supplice.
In 1997, Jean decided to pursue his career as a taxi driver. He worked for yellow cab for about a year then he got his own cab number and from there he worked for himself. In 2001, he changed his career path. He started working for Florida Flour as a Baker and he really enjoyed working for the company.
On November of 2019, Jean Laures had a suffered from heart issues that caused him to spend weeks at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He later had a major heart surgery and ever since Jean Laures' health declined in a major way. As a result of his decline in health, he was no longer able to work or do any of his normal activities. Jean Laures helped many people in Haiti. He enjoyed music and his favorite Haitian music bands were Tropicana, System Ban and Skah Shah. He also loved to clean and cook.
Jean Laures Lubin, died unexpectedly on May 5, 2023 at his sister's residence at the tender age of 62 years old.
Jean Laures is survived by his daughter Lavoude Lubin Supplice, stepdaughter Jessica Brun; siblings: Annemarie, Renold, late Nancia, Esteven, Jolique, Daviti & Dachnie; Grandchildren: Laylani and Vega; nieces and nephews: Frantzie, Joyce, Yodiege, Cassandra, Edna, Emilene, Wilnaze, Chelda, Ifandet, Oswald, James, Bingy, Jeankenol, Fred, and Wesnel; His best friend Pierre Direny; cousins: Aloude, Yolette, Ghislaine, Gicles, Pierre, Lyret, Damas,Silphise, Berta, Wilda, Luckner, Lucidan, Adranise, Leonith, Estana and a host of extended family members and friends that will miss him dearly.
