Jean Dussor, aka Père Dussor and Frère Dussor, was born on April 12, 1930 in Léogane, Haïti, to the late Dieujuste Pierre Louis and Dumerfise Guerrier. Jean Dussor Pierre Louis of Apopka, Florida died on January 24, 2024 at Advent Health hospital in Apopka, Florida at the age of 93.
Because his parents died when he was a little boy, Jean Dussor started working at very young age, before he became a teenager. He moved to Port-au-Prince where he worked in a coffee factory and became a Foreman.
In search of a better life, he migrated to Guadeloupe in 1977, where he worked until 1984, the year he migrated to the United States. He worked for about 30 years, first in a nursery as a supervisor for 15 years, then for the school system.
Jean Dussor had 3 daughters: late Annette, Adeline (Sr. Fifi), and Edelyne. He had 8 sons: late Raymond, Amos, Harry, Abner, Harold, Yvon, Jean Claude, and Assaille. He had 35 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Jean Dussor is survived by his spouse Louise Pierre Louis, 10 children, 34 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. He is survived by her lovely cousin, Marie Claire Florestal (Philomene), and his many Nephews and Nieces.
