Leclerc Jean was born to Jeancilien Jean and Charite Toussaint on March 13th, 1953 in Borgne, Haiti. He grew up together with his brother (Jean Toussaint) and his sister (Ma’Sedai). Shortly after, he married Dina Altidor together, they raised seven children. As a hardworking and caring father, he did not want his family to have a life in Haiti. So, in the 80s, he came to the United States to aspire to a better life and to be able to support his family.
He was a great provider and supporter of his beloved family. Over time, he became a businessman well known by the nickname "Serezon". He taught his loved ones to work hard, to be smart in everything you do, and to be wise in saving. He liked to tell jokes every time you were with him. You were going to laugh and have a good time.
In his old age, he became more like a brother to his sons. They hung out together on every opportunity they had, telling stories and playing cards, which was one of his favorite things. No one would believe that a Haitian father could have such a close relationship with his children. But Leclerc was different. He enjoyed being around his children at every opportunity he had. And nothing could take this special time away.
Leclerc had planned to overcome his illness and pursued the life he known to be: a caring father, protector, and provider for his family.
Proverbs 16: 9 tells us -"A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."
So on February 2, 2020, God had another plan. Our Heavenly Father called Leclerc to come home. Even in his dying bed, Leclerc continued to ask for prayers knowing that only the will of the Father will be fulfilled. May we never forget how much he loved and wanted the best for all of us.
