Magalie Samedi

It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our dear Magalie Samedi on May 11th, 2024. Her death affected us in a huge way, but we realize she is at peace and resting in God’s arms.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, girlfriend, cousin and friend.    Magalie Samedi was born on November 15th, 1968, in Grand Boucan Jeremie, Haiti to Mr. Alsain Samedi and Ms. Anelise Berling. To this union they were blessed with eight children.

Magalie was the mother of five children, four girls and one boy.  They were the joy of her life and she cherished the moments they spent together as a family.  Magalie met Hebert Janvier and had two children. Their first-born child Jimson Janvier and Beatrice Janvier who preceded her mother in death. She later brought into the world two beautiful daughters Fabienne Gaspard and Junie Gaspard that she shared with Mr. Gaspard. In 2014, Magalie birthed her last child Lourdmia Joseph with her special friend Romane Joseph.

Magalie was a friendly and funny person to all who knew her.  She loved talking and interacting with others. She adored children with passion and was very strong and patient. Her desire to be a businesswoman led her to sell pepe during the school season, so she had enough money to pay her children’s tuition.

Magalie loved her children so much that she did not go a day without talking to them. Not only did she enjoy being a mother but being a grandmother was a special part of her life.  She was the grandmother to Jaden who she affectionately called “Tiga," Jimmy Janvier, Armani Janvier, and Jaden Josiah Presume.

She was an incredible mother and grandmother who inspired everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever.
