Marie Claudette Bonhomme was born on November 2, 1953, in Jérémie, Haiti. She passed away at the age of 70 on August 14, 2024, in Kissimmee, Florida. Marie was the second eldest of six siblings: Marie Lunie, Marie Flore, Jean Gerard, Jean Robert, and Pierre Richard. Marie found joy in dancing, attending church, hosting gatherings, and surrounding herself with friends and family. She consistently read her bible and prayed every day for all of her loved ones. Her infectious energy, warmth, and vibrant spirit brought smiles to all who knew her. She was deeply loved and respected by many.
Professionally, Marie dedicated over 20 years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the healthcare field, working in both New York and Florida before retiring. Marie was married to her beloved husband, Josaire Bonhomme, for over 40 years, having celebrated their union in July 1981. Together, they lovingly raised four children: Johnson, Junior, Jeff, and Farana.
Marie is survived by her husband, Josaire Bonhomme, her children: Junior, Jeff, Johnson, Farana, her seven grandchildren: Melissa, Alex, Brianna, Malia, Awbrey, Austin Josaire, and Zora Ann; her siblings: Lunie, Flore, Gerard, Robert, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie will be remembered for her bright smile, her sense of humor, her love, strength, and the delicious food she prepared. But most of all, we will miss her unforgettable presence.
