Markly J. Cesar Sr. was born to Emmanuel and the late Yvette Cesar in Fermathe, Haiti, on October 4th, 1967. Markly was a loving brother to the late Claudele Wood. He was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, uncle, son and friend.
In 2014, Markly began a new chapter in his life. He moved to Orlando, FL with Tiesha, to be with his sister CC and her family. His plans were to work, save money and buy a house so they could all live together comfortably. In 2015 he met and fell in love with his current wife Evelyn. They dated for two years and shared many beautiful moments before deciding to get married on December 29th, 2017.
Markly is survived by his wife Evelyn Cesar, his sons Markly Jr. and Romel Cesar, his daughter Tiesha Cesar, his stepsons Ruben and Roberto Reyes, Alejandro Roman, his niece Annette Sophie Wood, his nephew Marc Anthony Xander Wood, his father Emmanuel Cesar and a host of family members and friends left to forever cherish his memories.
Markly was a huge sports head. He enjoyed every sport, but his favorites were football & basketball. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Eagles. Markly, Tiesha, Roberto & AJ enjoyed watching football & basketball games together. He loved how he could speak about sports to Tiesha and how she knew the players, their stats and even followed them in college as he did. Markly looked forward to spending those moments with her and his Sports family.
The Valcin family has a rich and honorable history which started with our grandparents Valcius and Germaine Valcin. Out of this union many children were produced and nine survived which includes Emilie, Giselle, Jean, Arsene, Victor, Yvette, Judith, Alix and Emmeline. Mme Germaine’s untimely death left Mr. Valcius to raise the nine children alone. Emilie Valcin (Duquene) the eldest, returned home from school at the age of 16 to help raise her siblings. Tragedy struck a few years later and Mr. Valcius passed away leaving Emilie to raise herself and her siblings alone. She was 19 at that time and promised her father that the family would remain together. They worked together to survive, as each member had specific tasks and special talents. Some of the young women sewed various pouches out of burlap and other materials which were sold to the merchants to store rice, beans, ect. Some of the young men hunted and engaged in deep sea fishing to sell and provide food for the home and many tended to the family farmland. The Valcins excelled academically and professionally despite their circumstances. The family’s strong faith in God, dedication to each other, their investment in academic excellence and a strong work ethic helped them to overcome many social, financial, and emotional challenges.
That's where F.O.E - Family Over Everything stemmed from! This family is what it is today because Matan Emilie kept the family together. If the children were split up and raised by other people, this family would probably not be as strong and as united as you all are today. So as Markly would say... God First! F.O.E!!!
