Mrs. Mesimise Leger was born on December 25, 1941 in Picmi, La Gonave, Haiti to the union of the late Alina Sylvain and Monvil Leger. She was referred to her nickname growing up, "Cho Cole." Sister Mesimise had nine children. She was a loving mother, caregiver and provided for her family by any means necessary. She was a farmer, a merchant and loved to travel. In 1977, Sister Mesimise accepted Christ and was baptized at L'Eglise Wesleyenne de Picmi. She was a devoted Christian and her faith in Christ became part of her family values. In 1990, she married the late Magloire Pierre-Louis. She also helped raise many of her grand-children which many of them called her "Mama". In 2008, Sister Mesimise left Haiti and moved to the U.S. Where she first attended First Haitian Free Church of Nazarene in Orlando, FL. Later, she attended L'Eglise de Dieu Par La Foi where she served as a faithful member and was active in many church activities. During her free time, she worked in her home garden, was a homemaker and enjoyed time with family. Sister Mesimise was truly a blessing from above. To many, she impacted their lives by bringing joy and laughter to their hearts. She was a courageous woman with a heart of gold.
