Miriam Pierre was born on September 3rd, 1984, in the hospital of Bon Repos, Port-Au-Prince Haiti, to the parentage of Mr. Murat Joseph Bazile Pierre and Ms. Dercia Henry. She completed high school in Haiti and soon after, she traveled to New York to become a nurse. Miriam was one of the sweetest cousins we had ever known. She was caring, loving and had a great sense of humor. People around her always felt special by her greetings, her words of comfort and words of appreciation. Miriam loved and was loved by all of us in the family. Wherever she was, she couldn’t go unnoticed because of her friendly face and her humanitarian character. At work, she was everyone’s favorite coworker. She was often called by her supervisor to be either congratulated or to receive a reward for her outstanding achievements. One of her favorite hobbies was to go to her auntie’s place, Mrs. Prosper, to hear her sing while recording. Here are Miriam’s last actions: On Saturday, March 18, 2018 she was in her church celebrating, testifying of God’s grace and blessing in her life. In the morning on Monday, March 20, 2018, Miriam cooked her sister Olga’s favorite dish. She stated to Olga that Monday evening: “We won’t do anything but rest. You don’t have to wake me up early. We will stay home to enjoy our days off”. Olga agreed, and they planned to do just that.
On March 20, 2018 few hours after they talked, Miriam was called Home to be with the Lord. Miriam always took the time to meditate at night. She was found with her bible opened to: John14: 27, Peace I Leave You, Peace I Give You…..
Miriam was a perfect example in our family. She liked a fun and peaceful atmosphere; She did not want people to feel sorry for her and she always loved hanging out with friends and family members.
