Ociana Phanor Blanc

Ociana Phanor Blanc was born in the province of Gros-Morne on the 23rd  November, 1947.  She was born to her father Aurel and Merlizia Blanc, both deceased.  Ociana grew up in the rural section of Savanne-Carree, in the locality of Souti where she lived together with her siblings and was the fifth child of the family.

As a Seamstress and a fabric salesperson, she was well-known and respected in the community, and she continued with her business until she migrated to the United States in 2009.  Ociana was survived by her kind husband Willy Phanor, her Daughter Rose Vonette Norvilus, her Son-in Law, Lefrand Norvilus, her three Grandchildren, Frandy, Christopher Alberto, and Francesca Shiela Norvilus.

Ociana and Willie were married in 1979 and their love lasted for 44 years, until death separated them.  Their love was so strong that their family, friends, and neighbors looked up to them and were inspired by them.

Ociana was a loving mother to her children and adopted children.  She also cared for Evenson Inelus and Celimene Tanis Theusma as her own.  She left behind three Brothers and a sister.  They are Leon, Jacques, Fresner and Marie Sylvelia Clerizier, nameless the Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and a host of Godchildren and Allies.

Ociana was a loving and caring person.  She was a devoted and faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and made the effort to shower others with her presence.  Ociana was promoted to glory on 16th December 2023 to be with her Maker.  Now, we are grieving her departure because she was good to us.  Ociana, May your soul rest in peace.
