Oscar Fedna

July 28, 1935 — July 27, 2024

Oscar Fedna

Oscar Fedna was born in the South of Haiti (Cayes Maniche) on July 28, 1935, to Enmera Fedna who was his father and Flerilia Louizaire his mother. As the eldest son he and his younger brothers, Louis Brisson and the late Bruno Brisson protected their sisters Therese, and the departed Claire and Rosemarie Brisson.

Oscar met Anna Louizaire in his neighborhood Anadere a few miles away from Maniche and years later in 1962 they became husband . From their union they had seven children: Jean Mary, Marie Lourdes, Yolande, the late Roger and Adrian Fedna, two others died infancy. He was a doting father to his children. Though he grew up without a father, he learned the importance of hard work and instilled those principles into his children. He worked as a tailor, baker, farmer and a businessman.

On October 11, 1990, Anna and Oscar moved to Brooklyn, New York where they lived for more than a decade before moving to Orlando in 2001. Wherever he went, Oscar was known as a hard and diligent worker. He lived by the saying: "To be lazy is to steal."

Oscar was a loving husband to his beautiful wife Anna Fedna. He is survived by his wife and 4 children. He was a loving grandfather to 12, a great grandfather of 3 and leaves behind more than 16 cousins and 12 nieces and nephews.

On Saturday July 27, 2024, at 9:39 PM he went to sleep to await his Lord and Savior. Not long before his death, he became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a Sabbath Observer. During the month he spent in the hospital after suffering from a stroke, his faith in Christ, despite the circumstances, was made evident by the grace of God as a comfort and confidence to his family members who look forward to seeing him again when Christ returns. Without a doubt, we will see Oscar when our Savior comes.
