Revil Joseph Tercier

Revil Joseph Tercier affectionately known as “Emilio” and “Le pe” was born in Aux Cayes, Haiti to Verdieu Tercier (father) and Justine Pierre (mother) both whom preceded him in death. As a young man, he moved to Port-au-Prince where he met his wife Marie Brinia Geffrard in 1972. Revil was very ambitious and traveled for many years as a merchant to different countries from Haiti. Along with his wife and children, he relocated to Miami Florida in 1985, in search of a better life in the USA, as God directed him in a dream.

He was a devout Christian who loved God, family and church. He was very committed to church whether he lived in Miami or Haiti. Even in his later years, Revil would attend mission trips and was very active in ministry.

As a young man, he received lessons and learned how to read. He continued to educate himself by attending night school at Shadowlawn Elementary in Miami, Florida. He believed in the importance of education and instilled that belief in his children.

He continued his entrepreneurial endeavors in Miami where he drove his Jitney transportation service for many years. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a security guard. Revil insisted on retiring in his beloved country of Haiti. He enjoyed being a vital part of his community as he looked after everyone and always made sure his neighbors had a meal. He left behind a great legacy of Love and Family.
