Robert James Ashley Sr. was born on August 8, 1944 in Madison, FL to the parentage of Lucy Mae Ashley and the late T.J. Ashley both from Madison, FL. Robert attended Little Rock Elementary and Gainesville Middle School. He loved working on the farm. In 1973, Robert moved to Orlando, FL where he met the love of his life, Ms. Katie Mae Wallace. He worked for over 40 years as a security officer in the entertainment industry and retired in 1991. Robert loved his children, grandchildren and his family. He enjoyed making others laugh, which brought him joy. He had a heart for people. Whenever you were going through anything Robert would encourage others to pray. Robert was a motivator and spoke his mind. He always made a way out of no way for his family. Robert loved watching western movies and driving fast cars. He was known as someone with a strong spirit who never gave up and he always carried the light of life in his eyes. He fought hard to see one last birthday. On July 3, 2017, Robert was admitted into the hospital with hopes to return home but God had a different plan. God picked one of his strongest Angels on Earth.
