Rose S. Alcide Richard

Rose Suzanna Alcide Richard was born on March 26, 1949, in Morne-A-Chandel, Haiti to late mother Racilia Bernard and late father Cheristin Richard. She was the third child of six children: Cherilia Richard, Phenelice Richard, Gravita Richard, Jeanne Richard, and Nyo Richard. Rose married her childhood sweetheart, Cedant Alcide. Together they raised eight children: Raymond, Ymene, Holine, Olina, Charles, Leonard, Joseph, and Marie Berger. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and devoted friend, Rose touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She grew up in a close-knit family and carried her strong family values throughout her life.

Rose along with her two youngest children migrated to the United States of America in October 2021 to join her spouse Cedant Alcide. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated her life to loving, supporting, and guiding them. She was always present in family gatherings, making every moment special with her warmth, love, thoughtfulness, and laughs.

Rose transitioned from labor to rest with her savior on October 10, 2024. Rose will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, gentle spirit, and the love she poured into every relationship. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and resilience. Her family and friends will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her life was a true testament to the power of love, and her impact will live on in the lives she touched.

Rose is survived by her husband, Cedant, her eight children, their spouses, and her seventeen grandchildren. Raymond andhis wife Yona Alcime, and their children Valentine Alcime and Emiline Alcime. Ymene Micou, and her children Raphael Micouand Jade Micou. Holine and her husband Eugene Celestin, and their children Eugeline Celestin and Eugenson Celestin. Olinaand her husband Desinord Sainqui and their daughter OphenideSainqui. Charles and his wife Marie Martine Alcide, and their children Stanley Alcide and Wesley Alcide. Leonard and his wife Jocelyne Alcide, and their children Leah Alcide, Jermaine Alcide, and Larry Alcide. Joseph and his wife Marie Kerline Alcide, and their children Hassan Alcide and Brielle Alcide.Marie Berger Howard and her children Huey Howard III, Camryn Howard and Isabelle Howard. She is also survived by a host of other family members and friends that will miss her dearly.
