Samuel Joly

Samuel Joly was born in Leogane, Haiti to Marie Francois, his mother who resided in Leogane, Haiti, and Edner Joly, his father who resided in Lascahobas, Haiti. He lived in Leogane for his childhood with his mother than moved to Lascahobas to live with his father.

He completed high school in Lascahobas then moved to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti to finish his education. Samuel moved to the United States in 1990 where he resided in Belle Glade, Florida with his mother for 8 months before moving to Orlando where he established himself. He went to school for Electricity and Plumbing, he worked at the Dolphin Hotel and Disney before starting his own businesses.

He met and fell in love his beautiful wife Nerlande in 1991, and they got married in 1993. Their union was blessed twice with the arrival of two beautiful daughters, Samantha and Jhanai Joly. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Samuel was a caring, friendly man, that always made sure his family and friends were taken care of. He loved dogs, sports, and taking naps. He never wanted for anything and was always willing to lend out a helping hand.

Samuel unfortunately fell ill in the beginning of July 2019, andwas unable to continue to work. He was misdiagnosed several times and was in and out of different doctors’ offices and hospital beds for the past several months. Sadly, within the last two months of his life, his medical condition drastically changed for the worse. His devoted wife, daughters, and mother remained by his side to take care of him as best as they could. Within two weeks in November, the Physicians working on Samuel went from having treatment plans to realizing that his medical condition got to a point where it was untreatable, but his family held onto faith. In his very last moments, his two daughters were with him holding his hands till he took his last breath and final heartbeat.
