Therese Civil was born on May 6, 1941 in Leogane, Haiti to the parentage of Louisimise Charlot and Segur Civil. She grew up in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and attended Thomas Madiou School. She was a seamstress and clothing designer. She was married to the late Robert Jean Marie and the Lord blessed their union with four beautiful children: Fleurette,Yolette, Suze, and Robinson. Therese left Haiti in 1979 to come to the United States to prepare a better life and future for her Children who joined her in July 1990. Theresecared and provided for her family. She was a polite and a loving child of God. Some of the sayings she always told her children were, ‘Always let God take vengeance for you when people offend you; If you follow the ways of the wicked, you will be more wicked then them.’ Therese enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching NBA basketball games specially when her favorite teams like, Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, OKC Thunder were playing. She enjoyed watching Lifetimes, African movies and she also loved shopping. She was active in the church ministry and was a long-time member of, Church of God by Faith of Orlando, she faithfully served as a deaconess and as a committee member. She spent her last years at the Tabernacle Haitian Baptist Church where her son-in law is a pastor. She loved to go to church, read and study the Bible, participate and host prayer lines. Despite her illness, Therese remained strong in her faith and was known as someone with a strong spirit who loved the Lord.
On Friday, September 7th, 2018, Therese Civil was called Home to be with the Lord. Although she is absent from this earthly body, she is now present with the Lord.

Her Sons-in-law: Salnave Paulifon, Remy Gabriel &
Yves Altidor
Her Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and a host of other family & friends affected by this loss.
