Ursule Labady

Ursule Labady was born on May 26, 1941 in Lazile, Haiti, to Iralia Jourdan and Deus Labady. She was the oldest of six children and was preceded in death by two siblings.

Ursule immigrated to Florida in the early 1980‘s. Ursule was always joyful and energetic. She was a lover of people. Everyone was a friend. Nicknamed “Soul” by even her own children, she was truly the soul of any place she found herself in. 

Ursule was taught to be engaging and hard working from an early age. She lived a full and meaningful life on many levels and on her own terms. She was an accomplished cook and sales person. 

She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Always full of life, she tried to bring joy to everyone she met. She was way ahead of her time and welcomed the uniqueness of each and every person she knew. She understood not just the mature but the young and seemed only to desire connection. 

Soul passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 and is survived by her 6 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters and many other family members and friends. 

May our beloved mother, sister, grandma, great grandma, mother- in law, sister in law, aunt and friend rest in the arms of the almighty. We love you Soul!
