Viola Jean

On December 21, 1937, Viola Noel Jean was born on the serene island of Port-de-Paix, Haiti, to her dearly departed parents, Imatha “Carrie” Noel and Niel Dorrissant. From an early age, Viola embraced the role of caregiver, nurturing her younger siblings and their children, all while raising her own seven children: Mary Angie, Adeline, Monique, Magalie, Sandra, Jules, and Rock.

In 1975, driven by her dreams for a better future, Viola made the heart-wrenching decision to leave her family behind. With the support of her late sister Suzie and brother-in-law Kelly, she journeyed to the Bahamas. Then she eventually settled in Miami, Florida; the place she would call home and her final resting place.

In Miami, Viola met the love of her life, Raymond “Edmond” Jean, and embraced his two children, Samuel and Mirlaine, with open arms and a heart full of love. Viola worked tirelessly to provide a better life for her children and extended family. Her boundless generosity, compassion, and resilience created a legacy of love and opportunity for future generations.

Viola’s life is a testament to the American Dream. She owned a home, built stability, and opened doors for her family. Her actions were always driven by her enormous heart, never expecting anything in return. Truly, she was an angel on earth, and it is no wonder that God has now called her home to gain her heavenly wings.

In her final days, Viola was surrounded by love and celebrated by her family. Though her loss leaves a profound void, we take comfort in knowing that we have gained a guardian angel watching over us. Rest in peace, Viola, as you join your heavenly Father. You will always be loved and never forgotten.
