Obituary
Viola St. Charles went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 at 11:45 Pm due to congestive heart failure, she was 77 years old.
It would be wrong to say that Viola lost her battle. Yes, at times she was tired, but she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Viola stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Viola. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
As the years progressed, our mother's interests and passions expanded. She loved traveling and taking cruises. Every place she visited, she would buy a souvenir for her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Soap Operas. It was her wish that upon her death that we do not mourn, but celebrate a life of dedication, love, and sacrifice.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Viola had two Adult Children- Guerline and Kerby St Charles. Our mother had four Grandchildren, Shakir-Gray Dieudonne, Akish Dieudonne, Noah Dieudonne and Rose-Kaelyn St Charles. In addition, Viola had 18 Siblings, but is survived by Six Brothers – Joel St Charles, Jean-Sosthenes St Charles, Charles St Charles, Nerikes St Charles, Dieuseul St Charles, and Bernadieu St Charles, as well as Six Sisters- Sagina St Charles, Mrs. Henry Petit (born Esther St Charles), Mrs. Alize Joseph (born Berta St Charles), Mrs. Saintlira Poliard (born Silfida St Charles), Mrs. Henry St Phard (born Almiraya St Charles) and Adrienne St Charles; Her Son-in-Law Prosper Dieudonne; Her Daughter-in-Law Wilmine St Charles; Her Goddaughters Ermione Lamour and Ermine St Charles; her many Nephews and Nieces;
