On July 6, 2017, we lost an amazing and honorable man. We lost the life of our loving father, brother, husband, cousin, friend, Wilner Tanis. But not all is lost. Today we are full of gratitude for having had the opportunity to know Wilner. Mr.Tanis was born on June 10, 1954 in Port-de-Paix to parentage of Biename Tanis and Idamante St. Flima. After spending his youthful years in Port-de-Paix, he moved to the United States in pursuance of a better life. Soon after, Wilner wedded his beautiful wife Maltide Tanis and together they raised five beautiful children, Wilna, Kenaz, Aniel, Maline, Cathia Tanis. Apart from being a father, Wilner Tanis, was a man of God who attended church religiously and would often hold bible studies and stress the importance of following the word of God with his children and anyone who would listen. Today we celebrate his homegoing and take with us the kindness that Mr. Tanis held within him. He was a hardworking man who spent over 30 years working for various transportation companies to provide for his family. Leading by example, Mr. Tanis would teach us all the importance of family, forgiveness and hard work. He will always be remembered for his odd sense of humor, his love for his family and his undeniable passion for the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memories: His Wife: Maltide Tanis His Children: Wilna, Kenaz, Aniel, Maline and Cathia Tanis His Siblings: Mme Gesner Ulysse née Maculeuse Tanis (Haiti), Rosemonde Tanis, Bienne Tanis, Camus Tanis and Violene Tanis (Haiti) May we all find a reason to smile, a reason to love and a reason to cherish. Rest in peace Mr.Wilner Tanis!
